Corian is a material manufactured to look like stone and is available in many colours, normally 13mm thick. It engraves and machines particularly well. It is very hard-wearing yet beautifully smooth to the touch and is particularly suitable for prestigious long term plaques. Studs can be fitted on the reverse for secure fixing and backboards are not normally necessary. Lettering and graphics can create both modern and traditional looking plaques.
